Question for every body: your favorite Chaka song

Tell me your favorite Chaka Khan song . It can be Chaka and Rufus or just Chaka with anybody. I wanna see what your taste's like - whether you got some or not.

I'd say "Make it last" is pretty good.

i am by no means a "chaka expert" shrug, but she always striked me as a beautiful, talented singer. but does she WRITE any of her own music:?:

i really liked that song she sang with prince & larry graham in times square on the NBC today show... when he is wearing the white hat... music

You mean "free" ?

About the songs: of course she does. Even co-wrote most of her hits (like "tell me something good") without being credited.

Pretty much any song she sang on that BET Jazz Channel performance she did. Check it out. So cool. You can buy it on DVD.

My CK track is without a doubt "Sweet Thing".

There is just something about THAT guitar riff.

I almost lost my mind a few years back when Prince did an aftershow at the Astoria in London and had Chaka Khan guesting...and then George Benson came on playing the guitar on Sweet Thing!

I'm not really sure, I'm not the biggest Chaka fan, but I have to admit I really liked Come 2 my House. But I guess that's to be expected of a Prince fan...

I enjoy anything from her 1981 album What Cha' Gonna Do for Me.

*Stardust sampled her song "Fate" on "Music Sounds Better With You" (1998).

I would love to see a two- or three-cd compilation of the best of Rufus and Chaka Khan! I see that a lot of my favorite tracks have been mentioned in this thread. I also like 'Hollywood'.

The greatest Chaka song for me has got to be Love Me Still, written by and featuring Bruce Hornsby on piano.
It's a beautiful piano/vocal ballad and I urge anyone who's not heard it too seek it out,it's on of thee greats.
Never tire of hearing this one...

"What You Gonna Do For Me," and "Got To Be There." It's rare that a remake is just as powerful as the original. She's coming to the Bay Area in October with Teena Marie, The Gap Band, Zapp, Club Nouveau etc...Can't wait to see that show!
"Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!
"It's just my imagination, once again running away with me."
