First look at AMERIE's New "Official CD" coming out everywhere....but the USA Well thats ture, im thinking artists are realizing that its time to build sales overseas because the states really arent worth it at this point. AMERIE has been leaking tracks through mix tapes, 30-45 tracks have been out there for awhile now and SONY is not happy that she is doing this, but why should she be happy with SONY since they have been treating her like "A redheaded stepchild". Heres a hint, if you are an RB female pray you arent with Sony. The knowles run that label at this point, there is so much dirt going on with tracks and under the table deals that Rich Harrison did, which is why AMERIE ditched him. The cd is set to be released in Late APRIL in Austrailia, and then in May in the UK and then late June in the states. Amerie will be polling fans that have the mix tapes, and then coming up with one disc, reworking the tracks, and then adding a few that havent been heard yet on any mixes and that will be the final product.

Damn she's sexy. I don't really care for her music but she's something. I always noticed that everytime she puts a CD out she has one single and that's it. Her label/management needs to promote her better. | |

I have the promo of the first single. I haven't listened to it yet though, but it's called "Take Control" and features Cee-Lo. Hall & Oates have writing credits on it as it contains excerpts from "You Make My Dreams".

She does all the promotion at this point, she has had alot of issues with SONY and a few people at SONY that crossed her in the 'dirty" industry game, so she has realized that she has her loyal following and shes giving hem what they want not what the label wants. she may not have the best voice, hell it barely makes the cut, but i loooved her 1st album! sony did her dirty on the second album...

from the sounds of take control and that's what u are, i can't wait for the 3rd Honestly im sure we all know the story, but Sony, mainly Mr. Knowles made sure her project got shelved early on, thouhg 1 thing still was a Top 10 and the album went Gold, there is alot of bad blood there and alot of it shows on these new tracks.
