Mariah is a screamer w/her dog whistle notes and all of that. Whitney can sing her ass off and she does it so effortlessly too.

Yep, other than What's Love Got To Do With It, I can't think of another Tina song that hit the R&B charts.

Meshell, I don't know if she ever hit the R&B charts. Maybe with Dreadlocks, but I never once heard that song played on Chicago radio.

All that Ronettes stuff seems like classic R+B to me. I don't know her solo stuff as well.
