Favorite album? I'd have to say that my favorite PSB album is "Behavior". I'm a sucker for melancholic music, and in the Pet Shop catalog, it doesn't get much sadder; and as much as I love their ironic, detached stuff, I really appreciate that they let the mask slip a little here.

All time favorite PSB song??? Probably "Being Boring". It reminds me of my friends, and all of the great times we've spent together. I think it's probably the most gorgeous song in their catalog. Also really love "I'm Not Scared", "Why Don't We Live Together", "A Red Letter Day", "Flamboyant", "Love Comes Quickly", "The End of the World", "Jealousy", "What Have I Done to Deserve This"...The list just goes on and on...

Not a huge fan of their videos, but I've always thought "Domino Dancing" was an eye catching clip.

First PSB album purchased Discography

I always kind of resisted the Pet Shops, but about 3 or 4 years ago, I picked up Discography as an impulse buy, and after a few spins, I was firmly entrenched. Now, I'd consider them in my Top 5 favorite bands ever. I actually like the stretch from Please through Behavior much more than what came next. Even though Very is such a fan favorite, it never really clicked with me. I felt that after Behavior, they became less of a synth-pop band and more of a house/disco act. I do like the stuff that came later, but nothing has ever grabbed me the way the first 4 discs did. I actually like Release a lot more than the albums in the middle.
I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

That's definitely one of my favorites, and I have to say, oddly enough, Nightlife has become my favorite album of theirs. Just has a great mix of everything they're great at, and very little of their over-cheesing tendencies (except maybe New York City Boy)

I think my favourite album is Actually, but my favourite song is without question Being Boring - the extended 12" version is just 10 minutes of brilliance.

That said the PSB have so many moments of brilliance its hard to choose a definitive one. Don Juan (demo version) is another favourite, as is Home & Dry which never seems to get much love from other fans. I also have a lot of affection for Metamorphasis on Bilingual - the rap is kinda cheesy, but i love the way it all flows and the message too.

Ill be honest and say i cant recall a single video Ive seen of PSB (im clearly not a serious fan), but i've got a book they released recently that goes through all their record artwork, and their videos and Being Boring looks like a video Id like. I think Bruce Weber shot it, and he's a photographer Ive always liked so I shall assume this would hit my taste spot.

Unfortunately for me I only became a fan last year and the first album I bought was the PopArt 2 disc set which is wonderful. I subsequantly bought all the repackaged, remastered 2 disc rereleases they did of the first 6 albums which are absolutely brilliant. They set the benchmark for this kind of thing. The remastered original, b-sides, remixes, demos, unreleased tracks - and with a great booklet featuing stories behind each song. I wish Prince and Madonna would take note.

I got into the Pet Shop Boys very recently and they when you really get into their albums (especially those deluxe edition albums), wow! They are so much more than just "West End Girls" and all of their bit hit singles. Still, I think my favorite might be there cover of "Always On My Mind"...don't think I could make a top five. Favorite album tends to vary often, too. I would put 'Very" up there and "Actually"..."Behavoir" is great. Their video collection is very entertaining, too. They are so smart in how they work with visual artists to create album covers, tours and videos.

First proper album was "Very/Further Listening". Beofre that it was "Discography" which I had for years. For some reason I had the song "I Wouldn't Normally..." in my head and really wanted to hear it...I'm trying to think where I would have even heard it the first time becuase PSB weren't excatly getting radio airplay. Anyway, after that, I was all about PSB and those "Further Listening" disc. I have some sort of special edition of every one of their albums (even though with "Nightlife" I bought them piece meal). I think expect for "Fundaamental", "PopArt" (and the DVD) and "Discography" I've bought all their stuff used or through dealers online.

I just found out these guys are playing my hometown in June..cant wait!!!

Fave album - Bilingual - For me it's the perfect match of their more experimental side and those great pop songs. It Always Comes As A Surprise and To Step Aside i absolutely adore.

Fave song - Heart - One of the best pop songs ever and the lyrics are perfection.

First album bought - Please - I was a fan since they first started so this was my first. Funnily enough i didn't care too much for behaviour when it came out so i went off them. The same with Very. Bilingual got me back into them..

Personnally I think ALL remasters should be done in this format. The ONLY thing I don't like is the big ass booklet that doesn't fit in the case. Though the booklet is nice and gives much insight into the songs.
