Seriously, he is! Out of curiousity, I decided to pop over to the LennyKravitz.com forum only to find out it was closed for maintainence. There was a link on the homepage that sent me to absolutkravitz.com. I'm thinking Absolut, the liquor? Yep. The very same. Now the site is laid out pretty nicely and you have to enter your birth year to get in. Since I was just over 21 I was able to enter but when I got there...I was like WTF? Lenny's new song is...just evil. Its in a direction that will probably crap on his fans (or maybe not). The download was called absolutkravitz. You know you're the alcohol company's bitch when they attach their name to yours like that. Everybody in the music biz is in bed with the alcohol companies to a degree but Lenny is wearing Amy Winehouse's f*ck me pumps. I am posting the song for those under 21 who shouldn't be on an absolut site but would like to hear the song and will have no other way of accessing it. Mods, please don't sweat me about this.

If the music isn't selling, Lenny isn't touring for ca$h, how else is he going to make more money? Alcohol, Target, whatever. No reason to drw lines as to who the evil corporation is, they all have skeletons in their closet.

Corporate money is a double-edged sword. When I heard Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, "Play it in the Cut" in a Kraft commercial, I just about but then I thought, good for her and the band. They're out there playing gigs night after night, on the road, hustling their brand of funk and soul (which is AWESOME by the way) and the last time I saw them, there were 75 people at the show.

No radio air play, no big label support, just real musicians, playing real music. Fuck it, corporate pay check is better than a small average pay check if it keeps Sharon & the the band making records.

I downloaded this awhile back and yeah, it's a piece of crap. At least Baptizm had some good songs even if most of the lyrics were shitty, but this AbsolutKravitz thins blows dead bear.

I feel like Lenny needs to retire for a bit. He doesn't seem to have much to say anymore and it's not like he NEEDS this money (at least not taht I know of, I haven't heard anything about him going thru any financial difficulties) so I can't figure out why the hell he'd be doing commercials for every corporation in existence.

I think Lenny Kravitz also did a private concert for a cigarette manufacturer. There were other big names that performed for that company. I think John Mellencamp was one.
