Take Care (brilliant ballad!!!!) Love 2 Love (ditto) Do it 2 Me (best Janet track of the 00s) With U (fucking great) Enjoy (how can you not love this one?) Get it out Me (can't wait to see this one live) So Excited (that sample is the shit) Daybreak (have to admit, even this one's grown on me) Call on Me (gets better with every spin...Nelly's voice is so mellow and nice) ...sorry for those you who won't be making the party. TotalAlisa feels me. hey don't forget THIS BODY You still don't get it. Actually, I don't think you want to. You're already set in your way of thinking. I spent much of 2001 criss-crossing the northeastern seaboard following the AFY tour, so trust. I've got enough t-shirts to last a lifetime. But really, is all this blowing smoke up everyone's ass really worth it when I'm almost positive she'd wind up rehashing the same ol', same ol'? Pull a guy from the audience, grind her crotch in his face, do the exact same choreography to everything off DOAD right down to the finger snaps, take a minute to catch her breath with the acoustic slow jams, fake cry with hands over the heart in earnest. Even 8-ball predictions give you more variety. As for 20 Y.O., I liked the album initially, but the novelty wore off quicker than any other JJ project since '86. And now 6 months later, I don't even bother playing it at all save for Enjoy, With U, Get It Out Me, Daybreak & Take Care. I think I'm more disappointed as it got hyped ad nauseum as the anniversary bookend to Control, and it wound up being nothing but a bait & switch. as much as I would like to go see her yet again on tour, I don't think it's a good idea at all. She should just focus on the movie and have a family and then tour when she releases a new album. I have a like-hate thing going with 20 yo. I genuinely love only 4 songs on it, the rest are not that great.

There is a rumour that Thicke is going to support Janet on this tour, that would be great.
I think Janet knows shes gotta step it up for this tour, Gill even said that Janet was not going to do the WHIMSICAL medley when she was rehearsing for the "DJ" tour. I think people should take "20YO" for what it is, a pleasant album. Nothing ground-breaking, but a nice listen. [Edited 3/22/07 7:57am]

I think people were just confused at first. After the incredibly record breaking janet album she comes out with this "poor me, poor little rich girl, I'm so depressed." saga, then people were surprised with that gay song and it seems she kept with the sex theme on some songs. but after the success of "Together Again" and fans being touched by the CD overall, i think Velvet Rope did very well.

at this point, i'd think she would be opening for him. "I don't need your forgiveness, cos I've been saved by Jesus, so fuck you."
