that being said, I bought Justified, but not FutureSex. I dig a lot of the songs on the former, but what I've heard from the latter, the album cover's the best thing about it.

I'm almost exactly the opposite. Justified does little for me outside of a few tracks, but I really like most of FS/LS ("SexyBack" and "Chop Me Up" notably excluded).

I remember when his CD ('FutureSex' whatever) first came out, there were alot of folks on this site acting like it was the greatest album ever, acting as if Justin was the guy who could bring the excitement back to pop music. Now,several months later, everybody seems to agree that he is a creep lol What a difference a few months makes.I always knew he was a fake.

co-sign rolleyes He blames the tabloids but he knows damn well that he craves the attention.I hate when celebrities complain about the media. The moment they stop writing about you, that's when your career is over.

And while this is irrelevant, I really need to express that he is NOT CUTE. Not even a little bit and his facial hair makes his face dirty.

Okay. There. I’ve said it. Shallow, I know but like a fart, I just had to let it out.

I've met Justin in person before and trust me he is VERY average looking. He has nothing to be cocky about whatsoever. He is only marginally talented & lacks charisma. Hillarious that he thinks the Grammy's were using him for ratings, sorry Justin but you do not have it like that buddy.

As far as his solo career goes, Justin has basically made a career out of ripping off his idols. With the first album he was copying Michael, then he got bored with that and decided to copy Prince with "Futuresex/Lovesounds". On his next album, he'll probably be trying to channel Stevie Wonder or Marvin Gaye. This guy has no identity of his own whatsoever so I do not understand what all the arrogance is about.

Exactly! I was one of the people who was saying over and over that the album was just OK, i didnt own it, but i had heard the whole thing and there wasnt anything special, well of course people jumped right on that saying it was, it was genius, timbaland was a visionary, that Nellys "loose" and JT's record were the best thing. To me Britney's "In the Zone" album was a million times better, but in peoples eyes Justin singing about "Sex" was him being mature, and Britney singing about "Sex" made her a slut, there again lies the double standard!

A lot of listener's perspectives are based in their own times. People coming up now are sure to believe in Timbaland/JT's "genius" because there's little else being marketed that compares. Time will put their accomplishments, such as they are, in perspective. Timbaland's innovative, for his time. But put him in perspective. JT's the hot entertainer for his time, but put him in perspective.

Hell, in the 70's, they were prolly saying the same thing about Leo Sayer and Andy Gibb. Not putting them down, but still.

I think the difference was that "Leo Sayer and Andy Gibb" werent on the TV shows of the day saying they used me for ratings, i didnt have to read about Andy Gibb and his ego, its not so much the times have changed, people have changed.

Andy Gibb circa 2007 would have been in a similar situation. JT circa 1977 would rock the Farrah Fawcett and sing disco ballads.

The thing was Andy in his era was original at least he wasnt taking from previous and then knocking who he was taking from, Justin is clearly influenced by Michael,Prince etc..but instead of praising it he knocks it.

In this purely hypothetical situation, I think Andy Gibb would have been similarly influence (if not become a larger influence in his own right).

But I DO agree that Justin takes umbrage at being caught in the cookie jar with crumbs on his face, and Andy would not have.

It kills me that the same fucks that bitch about being followed around..continue to eat at places like the Ivy where they are basically asking for it. I've eaten at the Ivy (work lunch..would never step foot otherwise)...the food aint that great y'all...and for a $25 salad...I'd rather buy 25 salads at McDonalds!!!!!

From the new Details mag....this dude is just full of it...and he also takes credit for the Grammy's being up 18% in viewership..

confused confused confused

On the tabloids: “I despise what they do. They create soap operas out of people’s lives. [Cameron and I] had our thing, and it’s over. They edit that stuff like MTV edits reality shows. It’s a spin game, and I choose not to take part in it.”

On being considered the New King of Pop: “I tried so hard to be an R&B artist [with first solo album Justified] and it was the pop album of the year, and I was like, ‘F***. That’s the last thing I wanted but I was like, ‘So everyone considers me a pop artist? Well, fuck it. I’m going to do whatever I want to do.”

On surviving the boy-band apocalypse and becoming a man: “I could give you a bunch of analogies about why I’m still around that would sound like hippie self-help bullshit. ‘I saw an opportunity and I took it?’ Fuck you. Sure, there’s a lot of luck involved. But on some level I have to believe in my ability. And I’m not apologizing to anyone. I worked fucking hard to get here.”

On being used by the Grammys for ratings: “I’m the nice guy who follows through on the things he commits to. But I don’t know if I’ll be going through that sort of thing again. I feel like the Grammys used me for ratings. And look at it-they were up 18 percent.”

I really don't have a huge problem with Justin ...yet well except that he's a poseur. But dude I gotta say I tuned in to see The Police reunion and promptly turned that shit off when they were done. lol

But really he should sing and dance and then STFU. He *is* in that same catagory as Usher and Kanye they are all the same. Shut yer trap and perform or produce or do whatever it is you're getting paid to do. Ya'll ain't been in the game long enough, or paid enough dues yet to be flapping your gums about jack.

Wow, look at all the hate posts dedicated to this man. This is like people who write hate mail to celebrities they can't stand. They say that they don't like them and don't waste time on their music or movies, but they sure didn't mind writing that 2 page hate letter and wasting 39 cents on a stamp. lol Hysterical.
