SWITCH.....There'll Never Be!!!

I love me some Switch those dudes were the baddest kats going in the late 70's under the tutelage of Jermaine Jackson who discovered them and secured there signing to motown and had a SUPER HIT off the bat and their debut album wen platinum.....Bobby DeBarge,Tommy DeBarge, Jody Sims, Gregory Williams,Phillip Ingram,Eddie Fluellen. Those kats were the deal and if you saw them live they were the BOMB! Come walk down memory lane with me with the funkiest band in the land!

I saw them, without the Debarge's in Mcdonalds in LA once. They had on Switch t shirts and we were like WOW where'd they get those shirts, and then Robyn (my cousin's friend) noticed they were on the shirts eek

it was eddie, philip, greg and Jody. I was 15 I think and was like love

they were really nice to us and talked to Robyn and michi, I just stood there staring and Jody winked at me. They were so nice, no one else in that McDonald's knew who they were.

My favorite song is "You're the one for me"

I ran a thread about this very song a long time ago. This and "I'll Call Your Name" which to me, is the superior ballad. I love both songs. To this day, I blast these in my ride.

I was rolling in the ride yesterday blasting their greatest hits CD, I Call Your Name on HIGH! Man Bobby's vocals were Top Notch on that song!

Switch kicks some serious ass.
I Call Your Name is my fave,
but my Sunday night Quiet Storms would not be complete without hearing any of their songs.

I first heard of switch right after I call your name and they did best beat in town on soultrain. that song made me fall in love with them even more. they even did a video for one of their later songs. I am a fan also with all their stuff including 12 inches. butyep they did a lil something something
