Macy Gray's "Big",, Initial Thoughts?

.

now that it's leaked less than a week ago, i'm sure a couple of people in here D/L it.

I know i have and so far i'll have to say quite frankly, i am really impressed with what i'm hearing.

Though it's too early to judge but i can see it going up right there with her flawless debut. I'm just gonna wait till i get my original copy of the LP.

Tracks i'm already skipping though are the ones with Justin Timberlake (Get Out), and Will.I.Am (Tream Me Like Your Money).

oh god, why? especially fergie neutral jesus. remember her debut
album? there were no guest stars and it's still among the best
debut records ever. i love that cd even after all this time.

i am kind of interested in what she and will i am came up with
though since she guested on 2 early Black Eyed Peas tracks and
i really enjoyed those (before the BEP became the horrible and
overrated group they are today).

especially that song "request line" was really nice and poppy,
and macy's vocals fit it perfectly.

Being the leak master of the org, I have to say that I didn't pay attention to this leak...Macy lost her vibe since her second album...

yeah, i know, with each consecutive release i lost more interest
in what she was doing.

but since pricelessho said this sounds more like her debut, i'm
kinda interested again. i want to hear it now.

Request line is a great song.
That was the time I was really intresed in the BEP while nobody
knew wich band I was listening 2.
Maybe the new collab can be good.

Fergie is such a bad choice 4 Macy,I mean Fergie??
Trying 2 be popular with the youngsters I guess.

Anybody know the deal with the Floetry song not being on the cd?

And Joss's cd is pretty good. I got it today from a mom and pop shop that accidentally broke street date. Ooops.!

big fucking disappointment that "U Make Me" isn't on there.. I wish she had more experimental stuff on here, she always seem to fit in that department. there are some nice songs on here.. but nowhere near close to her first 3 albums

Actually Fergie's vocals are only featured on the backgrounds, no solos.

And that track is one of the best in there btw.

Very very good album.

FERGIE should not be on a Macy record....Macy Gray has a special place in my heart..that first album was flawless...and the other two were great as well....cant wait to see her live!

I'm really feeling this album. This'll be the 1 st Macy album Ive bought since the debut. Its a good mixture of live instrumentation on some tracks, and programmed beats on others. Im 5 songs into it, an so far its a soulful affair.

Go 'head Macy razz
A happy face, A Thumpin Bass, For A Lovin' Race. PEACE.
