I just read about this...I think that the saddest part is that they're saying this will probably still not be his final resting place. That poor man is still working!....they want to set up a Graceland-like final burial place.

I have a question is there an interview or quote or anything where James Brown stated he wanted a Museum type Graceland thing?

confused What's with all the burying people and then wanting to dig them up? They're traveling more in death than they probably did while alive. Just leave them where they are, damn.

It’s so sad. It seems as though people r getting more attention after death than when they were alive. Come on and let the man be buried in a permanent place and not someone’s back yard. I know I wouldn’t want property with someone’s body buried on it. They need 2 bury the Godfather in a permanent place so he can RIP... sad

Wouldn't it be so cool if he really didn't die but staged it all to see peoples true colors?
Then he leaves it all to charity.

That's gonna be some 800 pound gorilla at the next family barbecue.

Yes, very tacky.

It really is. It has all the makings of a dark comedy. The insane part is that it's true. What's most unfortunate is that this is the stuff that will live on. It's bad enough that the media focused on all the wrong things when he passed. But now the family adds to the circus?!...

Sure it's just a body, that's not the warped part. How many people would feel comfortable having Dad buried in the backyard?
I agree, it's just a body...it's no longer James. What's sad is the reason that one would want to hold onto it.

Who cares? It´s the family´s business.
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Aren't a good percentage of threads in this forum "the family's business"? or someone else's business? "Other people's business" is what ends up on the headlines of our news. If people didn't care about stuff like that, papers wouldn't sell and many forums probably wouldn't exist.

But you're right.

In my will,
I've asked to be buried underneath the garage,
but knowing my lazy-ass family,
they'll probably just dump my carcass into some interstate highway side-ditch during low traffic hours.
Heck, they probably won't even slow the car down when they do the deed.

But that's okay.
By that time,
I'll probably be in heaven,
cussing God a new ass for stickin' me with 'em in the first place.

Just have to say I was on the tele talking to a friend with a dilemma, when I read this.
They heard me snicker. I don't think they bought that I was clearing my throat either. Good thing it was a minor dilemma.

Go on and cuss God and see that he doesn't send you right back into that family.
