Any "Tubes" fans on the org?

Saw them live a couple of years ago in London, but I really wish I could have seen them thirty years ago when they had the most astonishing live show on the planet.

There're a few clips on YouTube - splendid stuff.

woot!

Can't wait for the documentary to see the light of day - I'm sadly too young to have seen them in their hayday.

I have one album (cassette) that I thoroughly enjoy...

...The Completion Backward Principle

It's a David Foster produced record so the band is augmented by his keyboards and Steve Lukather's guitar playing (among other musicians).

If you like that, you should check out "Remote Control", the Todd Rundgren-produced album. Absolutely splendid.

I've heard it and it's very good.
Unfortunately, it's out of print and a high-dollar product on Amazon (approx. $70)

The Goin' Down comp looks like a way around the big bucks...

...It includes all the tracks on Remote Control. cool

I like The Tubes a lot, they had some good songs out back in the 80's:

"Don't Wanna Wait Anymore"
"Talk to Ya Later"
"She's a Beauty"

to name just a few. "Don't Wanna Wait Anymore" was always my favorite. The melody to that song is kinda haunting, I love it!

If you like that tune, you'd probably love Love's A Mystery a beautiful ballad from Remote Control.
