Well, mine is NOT Jay-Z's Unplugged (backed by The Roots). Perhaps it would be if I ever saw it but I didn't.
So my favorite MTV Unplugged is by Hole from February 1995! Courtney sang a cover of Duran Duran's "Hungry Like The Wolf"!

I taped Hole's MTV Unplugged from Muchmusic way back in 1995. It would be nice to buy a DVD of.
For now I'll just watch my .avi copy.

Since my favorite group did Unplugged, this is too easy: Crowded House with Tim Finn
Off the top of my head, I also really liked Uptown Unplugged (Jodeci, Mary J. Blige, Heavy D., Christopher Williams, Father MC), Stone Temple Pilots, Alanis, and Yo! Unplugged (LL Cool J, De La Soul, MC Lyte, A Tribe Called Quest). "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Mariah, Maxwell, Duran Duran, REM, Cranberries.

LL Cool J (I guess that was pre-MTV Unplugged). The live version of Mama Said Knock You Out was awesome.

LL Cool J (I guess that was pre-MTV Unplugged). The live version of Mama Said Knock You Out was awesome. No, it was "Yo! Unplugged Rap"; A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, and MC Lyte were the other performers. IIRC, that was the 3rd season on Unplugged. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Stripped, raw, honest, sincere, vulnerable and REALLY unglamourous

It could've been if there were more songs and if the arrangements were richer It's just okay So, I think my favourite --- even though it's weak, it's Alicia Keys' Oh, and I have both the CD and DVD of Mariah's . I only saw LL's performances over the years as alternate videos for this singles. This reads awesome: Yo! Unplugged Rap Recorded 4/10/91 at Chelsea Studios, New York City Set List: 01. Can I Kick It? [A Tribe Called Quest] 02. Cappuccino [MC Lyte] 03. Jingling Baby [L.L. Cool J] 04. Chill (Eat 'Em Up L) [L.L. Cool J] 05. Mama Said Knock You Out [L.L. Cool J] 06. Ring Ring Ring [De La Soul] 07. Laundry service has incredible songs like Te Dejo Madrid and Que Me Quedes Tú. Actually "Que Me Quedes Tú" is very special to me. About both volumes of Oral Fixation, I love Fijación Oral Vol. 1...it's perfect! "No" also makes me super moist on my vagina! About Oral Fixation vol.2...it's so dreadful So let's say I'm a shakira fan...but only of her spanish stuff
