This was their first televised performance in Ahugust of 69. It would have been their second as they were scheduled to apear on some show in July of 68 (before Motown when Big Boy was their single). J=They turned it down to get to audition for Motown.
I love the early J5 performances form 1966 to ealry 1970. At that time, they were at their rawist/most soulful period. They really learned alot from watching those groups on the Chitlin' Circuit from 1967-1969. All of the theatres they worked at (Apollo/Regal/Howard/Uptown/Capital) tyey would open for the Chi-Lites/JB/Gladys Knight/Jerry Butler/Delfoics/Vibrations.
