The NDRU Thread . . . If John Lennon made a Prince cover album . . . What would be on it? My guess?

Given his political bent, he'd probably give Ronnie Talk To Russia a nice spin.

.... his career would be over. it kind of is anyway Maybe we should explain. We were talking about the same question for Michael Jackson, and as I listed them I saw I was creating a great Prince mix. So I thought maybe that's a new way to create mixes, Imagining (sorry) different artists were singing the songs, and I thought of my favorite, John Lennon. But, yeah, Lennon doing Prince stretches the imagination a bit. My Legacy

I can certainly hear Lennon doing 'Sign o' the Times' - the song. It suits his late-'60s - early '70s protest song style.
And 'Don't Play Me' too. And I can hear the Beatles doing 'Pop Life' and 'All My Dreams', very Beatley as they are. | |

Maybe it's because I think he could deliver the verse "my only competition is, . . . well, myself in the past" with verve that I agree completely with you. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
