Deal with it. that's what makes his statements true, but kind of ridiculous, since Bruce never claimed to be an industry mogul, just a musician. So why would they be compared at all? maybe the quote is a bit out of context, though The naked quote comes off as something other than it really is. You can watch the 60 Minutes interview here: http://www.cbsnews.com/se...d=2582355n Once you hear the quote in context, it makes sense. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I get with Simon does and frankly, I wouldn't put him and Springsteen (who I'm not a big fan of) in the same sentence. He doesn't do all that much but brag. It's kind of sad and when Sanjaya is the next American Idol and he sells records, is that something to be proud of?

That's my point. Does anybody actually believe any of the Idol music really has any musical value? If it has value to the people who enjoy it, then yes. And what difference does it make to anyone else? "I don't need your forgiveness, cos I've been saved by Jesus, so fuck you."

I think the American Idol contestants are kind of "guilty until proven innocent" in terms of the fact taht a lot of people expect them to be cheesy, schlocky, here-today-gone-tomorrow crap until they have a career (like Kelly Clarkson and like Carrie Underwood seems to be starting to). Most of the contestants are glorified karaoke singers. That said, tons of people love McDonalds, but that doesn't make it good.

But I don't think Simon's saying he's better, just that he's a big moneymaker for his label, and that's true. He also said he likes Kelly Clarkson better than Dylan. But he said he meant no disrespect, he's just superficial. My Legacy

Well, Cowell's right. He has sold more records than Bruce, but I can't think of any single act Cowell has inflicted on the world that has sold as many records as Bruce has. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently
