Neko Case

I scored some free tickets and will be seeing her at First Ave. in April. I know nothing of her.

Thoughts? Opinions?

Thanks!!!

Her album 'Fox Confessor Brings The Flood' was my #3 album of 2006.

Fantastic, somber, alt-country. I hope you like that kind of music.

I think you'll be in for a very, very good show. I wasn't quite as big a fan of her last album as sextonseven (I found it a touch too somber) but I still like it quite a bit, and I absolutely love her earlier records which have a slightly punkier energy to them. Furnace Room Lullabies in particular is an outstanding album in my estimation.

She's a great vocalist, she writes wonderful songs and by most accounts she's a very good live performer, so I think she'll put on quite a nice gig.
