Yeah,it's ridiculous isn't it? Many of today's R&B and hip-hop songs are basically created from using a sample of another song that uses a sample, lol. This would almost be hilarious, but it's so pathetic.

Sometimes,I will hear a new song and think "This isn't bad...I like it",only to find out that it's based on a sample.A prime example is John Legend's "Save Room".

you know I was just thinking about this the other day. I know somebody has a song that sampled Biggie's song, which also had an Isley Brothers sample in it.

but with Musiq, i don't get sampling the "Buddy" song, I mean I like his song and all, but it sounds exactly like De La Soul's version without rap in it.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Because not only do they not have the talent to play instruments and create their own song, they also don't have the imagination to look for a song to sample that hasn't been sampled before. Today's so-called artists are absolutely worthless.

I think the worst example was Ashanti first song, Running back to you or day without you or some shit like that. There was NOTHING original about that song. It was sample on top of sample on top of sample and so on and so on.

Even I'm not too interested in these songs either. Seems like some sort of short-term memory nostalgia.

Just like LLoyd and Lil Wayne's "You". A sample of a sampled sample.

Was that the one that sampled PM Dawn's "Set Adrift On Memory Bliss" which was sampled from that Spandau Ballet track?

"This Is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan samples "Children's Story" by Slick Rick which samples "Think" by Lyn Collins.

Can't believe no one's mentioned "Fergalicious," which has to be the most devastatingly unoriginal "songs" ever. Samples "Give It All You Got" by Afro-Rican which samples "It's More Fun to Compute" by Kraftwerk and "Night Train" by James Brown. And her flow hijacks "Supersonic" by JJ Fad. It's crazy.

The same one. But in between P.M. Dawn and LLoyd, it was sampled by Teddy Riley's Queen Pen(twice on the same album) and a few others.

I'm not surprised hearing that come from them. They've been sellouts since the early 1990s. Their opinion means nothing to me anymore.
