They settled out of court, but Parker sued Lewis in 2001 after Lewis revealed in a VH1 Behind The Music special that Parker paid him as part of the agreement. I guess the Bar-Kays got no loot.. from either. I don't know who ripped off who (though, suposedly Parker was told the producers wanted a song "like New Drug"), but you're right about the lawsuit. It's just interesting that Huey Lewis won a lawsuit and there's a much earlier song that just happens to sound like both New Drug & Ghostbusters! My Legacy
