The reply you had earlier, was the exact response I got from the few people I casually mentioned it too. As you stated, it must be the wording. That along with the disbelief.

I'm pretty sure that burying a body in a backyard is illegal in all jurisdictions, so what's up with this? confuse

I answered a few of my phone calls that way today. "Did you know that James Brown is buried in daughters backyard?".

One person was immediately angered by this...but as she went on, I think she thought of just how crazy it all is and started to chuckle. Others I casually mentioned it to (and I didn't say it in a joking way) fell out laughing. These are all people that have the greatest respect for James. They weren't laughing at him but at the disbelief and they agree that it's all crazy but there's something insane...even bordering comical, about this whole saga...mainly that it still goes on. But tragedy and comedy are close neighbors.

I'm waiting for the family to turn the James Brown estate into another Graceland, and call it "Funkland".

Funkland is a thought. Walk through the door and a hear the Funky Drummer beat lol .
I just wish that they weren't so damn ghetto about this whole mess. The fact that the man is laying in the backyard because you don't want certain people to have access to visit the grave - that's just lame.
pray God bless everyone. NO exceptions. pray

I just read about this...I think that the saddest part is that they're saying this will probably still not be his final resting place. That poor man is still working!....they want to set up a Graceland-like final burial place

confused What's with all the burying people and then wanting to dig them up? They're traveling more in death than they probably did while alive. Just leave them where they are, damn.

I guess the family sees all the loot Elvis & Tupac generate, so they're saying to themselves, let's get in on the action.

I never thought I'd see the day MFers would make more money dead than alive. Only in America.
