I just realized....

that I really love Soft Rock. eek I was watching TV at 3 in the morning and this informercial for the Soft Rock collection from Time/Life came on. I watched that whole informercial and sang almost all the songs on there. There was Christopher Cross, Foreigner, America, Hall and Oates, etc. All these old songs from the 70s to 90s that I have always loved, but never knew who sang them. I didn't realize how much I actually love soft rock until that point. Man, I really wanted to buy that collection and it had a special rate of $9.95, but the shipping was like $15, because it's over 11 CDs. Where am I going to put 11 CDs? I still really want it, so I might have to get it. Damn, Time/Life and their good multi-disc collections. I still want their multi-disc R&B collection. I'll get it someday.

I love soft rock! music Especially from the 70s.I have an excellent soft rock compilation set (also from Time Life) called "Singers and Songwriters".I bought it in 2004 and it contains the cream of the crop,as far as soft rock goes. Here's the link if you wanna order it:

http://www.timelife.com/c...ctId=11225

I compared the tracklists to this set and the newer one that you mentioned, and I think the Singers and Songwriters set is the better buy.The only thing is,it focuses exclusively on the 70s.If you want the stuff from the 80s and beyond, the other set might be better for you.
