REMY SHAND? Where is he?!

Does anyone have any recent information on Remy Shand? Is he still working on a new album, and has anyone actually seen him out in public anywhere? Any concerts?

That's a good question. I really liked him when he first came out and thought at the time that he could end up a big star but then he just dropped off the musical scene. I checked on line for any info but his website still has his old in it. The cut Take A Message was the jam.

I was just thinking about him the other day! I have his album, and really enjoyed it. He does a damn fine Prince impression on "Rocksteady". A lot of people I've played it for could have sworn it was Prince.

I like the guy, I hope he makes some more music eventually.

I started this thread a few months ago. If anyone knows where he disappeared to please drop let us know.

This is a definite waste of talent if he doesn't come out with at least a second album.

Into the deep abyss of the non-"marketable." you'll find Bilal and Van Hunt down there too.

He morphed into Robin Thicke, I reckon. Both of them have the same weak ass falsetto. And have you seen the two of them in the same room?

The reason I got into him was the fact that his sound was extremely Princely. I have no problems with that. And Rocksteady along with Burning Bridges were my favorites.

Oh totally! I watched the Rocksteady video again last night, and was reminded why I loved Remy so much. The back ground vocals in the chorus, as well as the way he sings the last line in the chorus, sound very Prince! He can also play many instruments, and writes some finely crafted songs. We need more artists like this guy! He better come out with that new album soon, or I might just have to go knock on his door... lol

Call me when you're ready to do the knocking.
Can't have him wasting all that good talent. You're right we do need more artists like him.

I have a feeling that he got lost in the shuffle at Motown. That label has been having alot of problems lately with their current artists.Didn't Mya's latest CD get delayed repeatedly?
