Tori's The Beekeeper should have been like this: The fact that 12 yo sister chose to listen today while she was browsing my cds to The Beekeeper instead of JT's Future Sex...made me happy.
So here's my Tori action of day: This album should have been only 12 tracks...if T had done so it would have been perfect! Here's my tracklist: 1. Original Sinsuality 2. Barons of Suburbia 3. Sleeps With Butterflies 4. General Joy 5. Mother Revolution 6. Witness 7. Ireland 8. The Beekeeper 9. Martha's Foolish Ginger 10. Hoochie Woman 11. Intro Jam/Marys of the Sea (yep...that version!) 12. Garlands Isn't it perfect??? Well I know someone will complain that Jamaica Inn is not in it! Have a nice day!

you forgot the power of orange knickers, sleeps with butterflies, and toast! toast, most of all, is an incredibly beautiful track.
i could totally deal with garlands, ireland, parasol, sweet the sting, and jamaica inn being b sides.

And the "Scarlet" b-sides mix in pretty well. But I usually have to keep them separate and make them their own disc.

I usually consider Seaside, Indian Summer, Operation Peter Pan, Mountain and Tombigbee as the Scarlet b-sides, since those were either released at the time or played live. I believe I read that she recorded Ruby, Apollo, and Bug a Martini later specifically for the Hidden Treasures set, and they seem to fit thematically better on TBK, IMHO. But either way, they are all great songs .
