FUNKADELIC QUESTION I need help....I already have Funkadelic's "One Nation Under A Groove," "Uncle Jam Wants You," and "Hardcore Jollies." I want to get more of their stuff and I was thinking of getting the cd "Motor City Madness: The Ultimate Westbound Funkadelic Compilation."

It seems to me to have the most important tracks (from what I've read) from their early years but I just wanna see if there are any Funkadelic experts in the house that can let me know for sure. It looks like a great compilation, but I'm not sure I'd bother. If you don't want to dive right into the Westbound albums, I'd just get the cheaper, single-disc Finest. That should be enough to convince you to get the albums.  "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis | |

I don't have it but for starters it has some of the key songs for the westbound years.

Why? It's a great primer of earlier Funkadelic. Always Cool Pedro cover. And it's good to have with you for the "untouched". 
In the end though, you will buy the whole catelog. And that's a good thing.  Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way. | |
