Thoughts on Mika...

His new album comes out on March 27th..anyone gonna get it? I really like "Grace Kelly", and he has the most amazing voice. Very reminiscent of Freddy Mercury.

Thoughts?

The album has been number one in the UK for most of last month. Its very good. A pure pop album, and he does it well.

I think he'll have a mega hit on his hands with "Big Girls". Its catchier than "Grace Kelly".

My favourite on the album is "Happy Endings".

Its so full of hits!

The album is absolutely amazing, and if any of you enjoyed 'Grace Kelly', I definately advise you to pick up 'Life In Cartoon Motion' asap for sure.

Tracks like: 'Billy Brown', 'Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)', 'Happy Ending' the amazingly beautiful 'Any Other World' and the insanely catchy 'Lollipop' (my absolute favourite!) music dancing jig It's just a great, great album.

Mika and I have been chatting now for about 6 months on myspace, and we're hoping to meet up in London to celebrate my birthday mid april, he's a really sweet, totally down-to-earth guy genuinely surprised at his sudden success.

I passed this on to him recently after stumbling across it on youtube, I thought it was wonderful - it's a video made by a fan for the moving 'Any Other World'

Enjoy.

Brian May loves him and has been championing him of late though saying he's the only guy who comes close....

Mika's album really surprised me in it's scope.

He's clearly an amazing, eclectic song-writer and although there's many, many influences that are very obvious, he manages to sound totally unique.
The songs on the album hit you instantly, but draw you in even further as the subtleties of the music get under your skin. And the lyrics are sound throughout.

I just hope that he's able to carry on with this standard of music. If he does, then he could possibly become the next great hope in pop music.

A truly great album.
