What Is Vanilla Ice's Problem?? I've been watching him on the reality TV show "Surreal Life", and it seems that he blows up, gets pissed about something and starts bitching about it every week. What a jerk! RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I believe i have heard he has anger-disorder issues. He resents his past and all that stuff and yet its really the only claim to fame he has but he's the brunt of every white-rap joke. I also heard recently that back when his first album was out Not only did he get sued royally by Queen which i knew but he also got sued for his use of Play that Funk Music, which also wasnt cleared to be sampled or whatever he did with it, so he ended up not only with nothing, but ended up paying people, but he steal swears he didnt rip Queen off, is he freaking kidding. Thanks for the explanation. Vanilla Ice DEFINITELY has anger-disorder issues, it rears its ugly head in every episode, it seems. He DEFINITELY ripped Queen off from their song "Under Pressure", which is a great song by the way. I loved Queen's version of the song that they did with David Bowie, but HATED Vanilla Ice's version. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Does anyone remember his little MTV thing with Chris Kattan and Jeanine? (Typo)
Where he was using the bat and beating his old music video with it or something? Maybe that was all for show, but dang. And yeah his album "Bi-Polar" I think 50% showed how he felt about stuff, and was 50% an attempt to be like Limp Bizkit and KoRn, who were really ruling the rock scene around then.

Never saw that MTV show, but I think he is bi-polar. Vanilla Ice needs to have a few therapy sessions with this guy: Although they both are arrogant, so I'm not quite sure how successful a therapy session would be. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I think he suffers from "has-been syndrome"
I saw an article/interview from a few years ago and he was really bitter at the way his career turned out.He boasted that "I had the biggest selling rap album of all time and people were jealous" I don't think he's ever gotten used to being a one-hit wonder, lol. [Edited 3/5/07 5:49am]

Vanilla Ice not only has a case of "has-been syndrome," he's evidently embittered by the opinion the world has of him -- namely, a joke of a recording artist with what was seen as a throwaway single. His recording name, his actual name, how he dressed when he was a recording artist has been mocked ad nauseum for nearly two decades -- which is not something that goes over well when you look at yourself as making a sincere effort to be acknowledged as credible in your field.
I always wondered how does Vanilla Ice look at someone like Eminem -- a white rapper who has achieved critical and commericial success in the same genre in which he is lampooned. It would not surprise me if he has resentment over Marhsall Mather's career. [Edited 3/5/07 6:00am] THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. wasn't there a reality show on VH1 about making over a former star or something and he was in the first episode? That's when i knew he had serious problems. He was definately angry about his past, but managed to piss off the team that was trying to work with him on changing his image and music. He ended up doing things "his way" and the show he put on was so bad, his drummer quit the next day.

I watched that show yesterday (not sure what episode it was, though...I don't follow it) and damn he has issues and it looks like next week (or maybe it aired already), he'll freak out, too. You think he was made all angry and bitter because of what happened to him?
BTW, I always dug Kennedy but I just found out that she is...a Republican? The ultra cool host of "Alternative Nation"...I refuse to believe it! [Edited 3/5/07 10:49am]

WRONG! The main problem was that he was a phony pretended and lied that he was from the hood but reality was from a lily-white suburb in Miami. People would respected him more at the time had he keeping it real. If being white was the case then MC Serch, Emimem, Beastie Boys, Bubba Sparxx, wouldn't get still getting respect in hip-hop community. Even Mc Serch mentioned Vanilla Ice gave real white rappers a bad name. [Edited 3/5/07 10:56am]
