Do yourself a favor and try to listen to BBC Radio 1 daytime program for more than one hour continuously. Then, after treatment at the ER, you might reconsider your plans to move house.

Having that said, I've got to say that the UK is a great country, but to move here for contemporary British pop music? I don't know.

And Morrissey doesn't live here anyway... biggrin

(Though Jools Holland makes a great TV show with live music!!!)

Exactly, GIRLS ALOUD are the best POP that the usa will never get, our definition of POP here is Jojo,Ahsley Tisdale, and Ciara. I have spent lots of money on Girls Aloud since everything is an import, but they are great, talk about Guilty Pleasure, kind of the Bananarama for this decade, and guess what they can actually sing live, check out there DVD from their 2006 tour that just came out, they can sing, their not Beyonce or Xtina but they dont use backing tracks.

Also count the Sugababes in it. These 2 girl groups are the best girlgroups of the 00's!

Yeah i agree, the charity single "Walk this way" by Girls Aloud VS Sugababes is great and the video is even better.

Mara

One advantage of being in the UK -- London especially -- is access to all the European [...and sometimes North American] acts that just don't do shows 'cross the Atlantic; and the volume of shows, for me, anyway.
