What up Los Angeles Orgers. I'm visiting LA next week (Wednesday March 7th thru March 11th) for the Pac-10 tournament, and I wanted to know if there's any GREAT music happening while I'm there. I'm staying downtown (across from the Staples), and I dig jazz and funk. Any help would be appreciated. Peace.

I guess "near" is relative: By car, I'd say it's "somewhat near" especially if you take the 101, but if you're not familiar with L.A. and its traffic, then it's kinda far. By public transpo it's almost the same issue as the car - if you aren't familiar with the traffic and routes, it can be far.

Major streets aren't that hellacious @ night, so it doesn't really seem that bad to me, distance wise. Plus, if you got a good mixed CD and a fountain drink during your excursion you'll be there in no time @ all.
