it's sad,but for some reason,most female Prince proteges never really get a second chance.They still record,but the music never reaches a wide audience.The only people who would buy a new Ingrid Chavez CD are the Prince fans who remember her as the angel in 'Graffiti Bridge' neutral In many ways,being a Prince protege is like a blessing and a curse.

More so a curse though, since most of them (aside from Sheila E., The Time)
go nowhere outside of the Prince world. However, if Ingird wanted to put out something new right now, I'd get it in an instant, cause I love her music/poetry
