Pick the songs for Cher's next album.



One obvious pick is I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For which has been the staple opener for the last couple of tours. I think it'd be a good one for her to put on record too.


Also, one I wish she would do is Suspicious Minds by Elvis. It's perfect for her. In fact, I think she should do a whole album of Elvis covers.

she should record pj harvey's "to bring you my love" album, song for song. i always sing along to that record in cher voice. it works!

She should cover Elton's Crocodile Rock!

Songs like "Teclo" and "The Dancer" are especially Cher-ish.

Her long black wig, red silk dress and limp wristed theatrics are a definite ode to Cher.

I think she should do any number of 80's Heart songs.

Can't you just hear her belting out "Till now, I always got by on my own...I never really cared until I met you...But now it chills me to the bone...How do I get you alone?"

I would literally start sobbing with glee.

So is it going to be rock covers or a rock album? I wonder what they would sound like...isn't she 60? Her faux metal days started 20 years ago and ended maybe about 6 years later.

I don't think it's a covers album. But a lot of times, she has some mixed in. I wouldn't mind if she did all covers though. She's one of the best song interpreters in the bizz.

I want her to do "My Favorite Mistake" by Sheryl Crow.

I would prefer that Cher never sing another song again. She can't sing to save her life. However, she CAN act, so why the hell doesn't she get herself out there and start making movies again? I could never figure out why she stopped making movies, but continues to sing? Granted, she's a good entertainer, but she can not hold a tune.

I think she's got one of the strongest voices I've ever heard. The fact that she sounds like a cross between Elvis and Mr. Ed doesn't bother me.

No offence, but I think her voice is horrible. I love Cher and I've been a fan for years, but IMO her voice is awful. She can fake it well, but I don't think her voice is good at all. I also think that since she's had so much plastic surgery, her mouth and face do not move as effortlessly and they used to and that has made her voice worse too (seriously, I think so).

i always thought she should get Sheryl Crow to write/produce an album for her, and she could call it "Cher & Sheryl-like"
