i love the Isleys, but they shouldn't have named their greatest hits after a remake. their version is classic though

It's not like they don't have 100 other hits collections. They're running out of names. lol

And yes, their version is a stone cold classic. nod

A little off topic, but have you heard Rufus` 1973 album?
Does Chaka Khan sing lead on "Love the one you`re with/Sit yourself down"?

Yep, she co-wrote/produced "Secret Friend" and "Highlight" with her then partner, Rene Moore.

But she also sang back-up in most of the songs in there, if not ALL.

Sounds good... nod

What did you think of her "Classikhan" album?
I really liked "I believe", but the rest didn`t appeal to me... (Maybe except "To sir, with love")

Wasn't too impressed.

Her rendition of Oscar Brown Jr.'s standard is beautiful though.

Thanks thumbs up! I see soulmusic.com have it on sale too (for us outside the US), for $15.99 each.
I`ll definitely have to get the first album and "Street player" nod

MovieMarz has some of the titles for $5 or 6...

I believe all the titles from Hip-O-Select are a tick under $10 (not counting shipping).

All their "limited number" releases carry a Gold embossed number stamp.

Yeah, you can`t beat those prices... nod It`s just too bad they don`t ship to all countires. I just tried, but they don`t deliver to my address mad

Therefore i have to use soulmusic, where i usually end up with refunds, cause they never have the cds in stock lol
