"I HOPE IT HURTS!" I love Tom's performance here, easily his best. Anyone who doesn't rate him as an actor should watch this movie... perhaps only this movie cause only one or two other performance even come close. The whole William H Macy bar scene is so tragic too. I'll admit though I really hated the ending... just the frog bit, everything else was awesome. And yes I did 'get' the frog bit I just thought it was weak. I agree about Tom's performance. I've actually never been a fan really, but for his performance in Magnolia I've got to give it up: it was the first and only time Tom Cruise on film made me sit up, take notice, and give him respect for his craft True. I love the fact he fitted into an ensemble movie and that he did not do his bigger than anything act. I just love this movie SO much. And even though I was weirded out at first, them singing along characters, one minute into the singalong I was crying, damnit. It was the movie that made me a Julianne Moore fan FOR EVER... What a performance.

Nuh UUUUH! I don't believe that last line for a second! You mean to tell me you don't know her from the group 'Til Tuesday' (with the song that goes 'Hush-hush---keeep it down now, Voices Car-ry...)? I never heard about her former band until I listened to Magnolia and became curious about Aimee Mann
