Well, given that she's a software programme, I think it's an apt cover.

Yeah there are actually two editions of this cd, there is going to be LTD one with a DVD and/or bonus tracks. CD universe has the other cover listed with her back painted, so maybe this is the LTD edition cover. Im really looking forward to this cd, i have heard the single/video obviously, and heard a couple of other songs live in concert, and the girl is on fire. People forget shes not even 20 yet and they jump on her like she was the anti-christ or Beyonce or something like that. Of course if you are a Lauryn Hill fan this may be your only chance to get something out of her on this albums duet "Music". Joss went through alot for this record, probably the reason for the red hair now, the label really wanted her to go sexier/RB than even deeper into real RB, as u can tell from working with Raphael,Common and Lauryn. Joss did threaten to not record if they didnt allow her to work with Raphael.

Im glad some folks dig Joss, i think she gets a bad rap by alot of people. I still think we forget shes 19!!, but the talent is there, and its just growing at this point. Alot of people have said she should do like a "Jazz" record or try something like that, well its a great idea BUT we cant even get Mariah to do that and shes 38 and 20 years into her career, so cut Joss a break and just let her grow. I mean at least she hasnt sold out for some beats and "hip" producers like some others have.

Correctomundo Mike. "Player" is a loose term, since he was more notorious for his fouling and on pitch brutality than any actual talent. He's since become a rubbish actor (see XMen 3) and a worse singer.

Im very glad to hear and see that there are some "pro" Stone-rs, almost everytime i bring her name up i see negative feedback. But its good too see, like i said i think she is coming into her own, shes just 19-20, long road ahead for her, let her grow. Im also glad that Joss has "blown up" i like where shes at, kind of reminds me of some of my favorite female artists like Mya and Amerie, loyal followings, good-strong music, not really concerned with their sales.

Joss Stone is the closest thing to a Teena Marie for her generation. My only complain is that they'll never play any of her songs on FM Radio. Without the internet (especially YouTube) I wouldn't ever know she exist.

It is a sad thing the way radio is, and the thing is i first got into her as a fluke, the EP she first had, just came out, and at that time i was still in the Music retail/industry and in good with reps at labels, so they gave me a copy of a sampler they had for her, just a name no picture of her which really is the best way to judge any music, many times we make prejudgements based on someones look, especially if they are good-looking, we tend to thing they have no talent. So i was blown away, and the bio on the back of the disc just said 15 year old british soul singer, and metioned her band and things like that. And at this time i was digging new albums by Tony Rich, Terence,India arie,Res,Van Hunt and things like that so her voice was a welcome addition to that talented group. The funny thing is that EMI actually since 2002 has 3 of what i think are the most talented artists in NOrah Jones,Van Hunt and Joss Stone and the funny thing is that they are slowly probably gonna lose them as the 3 of them grow and try things more. This album of Joss's almost didnt happen, she fought for it and won, but she almost did pull a "George Michael" and just stop recording for emi.

In case you didn't know, Van Hunt was already drop by EMI last year. The only way EMI won't drop Norah or Joss is if their albums are selling. They might need to go 2 million copies a piece to stay on the EMI roster.

Well the funny thing is that i have heard from a friend at EMI, that the Van Hunt dropping wasnt about units, it was more about they couldnt get him play anywhere, MTV wouldnt take him, VH1 gave him almost no time, and BET turned it down saying it didnt fit their format??WTF is that about. So it was almost a mutual parting of ways, they felt the guy was someone that should have been the next Lenny but no one wanted it. As far as Joss selling 2 million in the USA, thats not going to happen, since it hasnt yet, no one is doing 2 million in the states at this point, though Norah has passed a million here, i dont see it selling much more than 2.5, worldwide however is stronger for Joss and Norah too, Norah debuted at no.1 in the UK which was a shock, and Joss obviously is big over there, so worldwide those 2 easily will sell that.
