MARIAH'S COMEBACK SONG.

TAKE A LISTEN BY DOWNLOADING HERE:

http://www.mariahland.com...therain.rm

The song is weak. Songs like "Never Too Far" shouldn't have flopped. This is bad, drives on and on, and doesn't display her vocals, nor is the music of any quality.

This should flop unless people pity her and purchase her work.

I love how Mariah's become a basketcase ditz. It suits her just fine. As a newcomer and kid she sang adult contemporary and now that she's all growed up she sings teen pop. How brilliant!

Well overall the song is OK. She is singing in her Whisper tone, which she has been using alot over the past 3 cd's. I have always liked Mariah and her music but overall I have never felt she has done a good overall album. I really could care less about sales. To most people GLITTER was a flop because it sold under a million and MARIAH has always sold billions of records, but if it were her first or if she wasnt on a label then it would have been a success in peoples eyes. She is very much like Prince in the respect that she is not realized for what she can do. Every article about her is about her body or her breakdown, and with Prince its about names and record companies. Not saying this isnt their own faults but in Mariahs case I feel she needs to do THAT ALBUM she is capable of, already I have heard that people like J. Dupri and JayZ and Irv gotti are going to pop up on this cd and already Im getting bored. Its like how I felt about RAVE when it came out, its good the first few times but then TANGERINE and WHATEVER and ILOVEU are all I listen too and the rest are typical. Thats why I play out CDS like One Nite Alone and the TRUTH and even Chaos and Disorder and Most of Disc 2 on Emancipation, because its not typical, hes not playing it safe hes playing himself. Mariah needs to do this badly, she needs to deal with the fact that shes not JLO, the reason JLO sells is her ass and rappers, period. Ive gone through all of MARIAHS cds and I have put together 2 CDS of what she should be focusing on. Its that old line "mariah has the ability she just needs to apply herself" thats what every teacher used to write on the report cards. But everytime I hear Mariah doing shit like Heartbreaker or Loverboy, I just think of cuts like VANISHING and UNTIL THE END OF TIME or PETALS and I wish she just SING a real song again and do it for a whole album. But hey even when she does shitty songs she looks hot so I guess thats a plus.

derek

Just heard her new song and while it doesn't have 'hit' written all over it at least there is no rapping or remixing or whatever throughout it - it's just her.

Interesting 2 see how it goes...

The link to the song will not work anymore because the site has pulled in response to MONARCH records which is MARIAHS Label, the version being played on RADIO is not a finished copy its the demo of the song, the song is still being mixed and will be serviced to RADIO again September 30th. The track is once again being mixed by Jam and Lewis an a remix will follow soon after, at the moment NO VIDEO is being made, I think a cool Idea would be NO video for it at all. Mariahs IMAGE has always been ripped by all media so I think she should just make this song take on its own life and dont do a video, I know people will say thats insane to that, that a video is needed to sell the song but I think its time for all artists to start shifting away from Video, if not totally at least 50% of the time. Mariahs Label has promised websites that she digs personally, that they will be serviced with Mp3's even before Radio is serviced with a new version. Overall Like I said this song is OK, its a good way for her to get back where she belongs, she sings circles around 99% of the females out there but she needs to do material that takes her there. She needs a perfect album, I dont think this new One will be it, just by hearing some of the guests on it, Irv Gotti, JayZ, Ashanti( Oh god, Rountine and Boring R&B) but hopefully that input is very very limited. GLITTER wasnt a Bad record, if U take out Ludacris and Mystikal's, and Ja Rule's tracks, its some of her best work (never too far, lead the way, AMAZIN vocals) but as usual Mariahs Albums are 75%. I think in about 5 years when she is nearing 37, she will do THAT 100% album, oh well she still look good in case she does another 75%.
