Hey DavidEye,how would you compare this two disc set to the 95 release "Dance Of The Rainbow Serpent" or the two best of volumes?

The 3-CD box set 'Dance Of The Rainbow Serpent' is excellent. It has a few "hits" but it mainly concentrates on album tracks and instrumentals. As such,it's a more interesting set, focusing on Carlos's impressive guitar-playing.And it contains a bunch of rarities, including previously unreleased tracks with Larry Graham and Vernon Reid. The packaging is spendid, too. The two 'Best Of' CDs are cool too,but the upcoming 'Essential Santana' set has all those same songs and a few more, making it a better buy.

peace Trust me on this...If you're just starting to get into Santana, the first CD you should buy is his 1974 'Borbolletta' album.Start there!!
