So what should Robin Thicke's next single be?

I think "Can U Believe" should be the next single music I can't get that song outta my head! "Complicated" is another strong choice for the next single. This CD has sooooo many strong tracks,I predict we're gonna be hearing ALOT from this album throughout the year.

What do you think?

I don't think it matters. The cd is STRONG on just about every song.

Same here! music I like the whole CD,except for the hip-hop-styled tracks (the two songs with Lil Wayne and the song with Pharrell).

I think "Teach U A Lesson" could almost be a single, but many folks will say it sounds a little too much like "Lost Without You".

There are so many songs but I think people should hear something else uptempo by him so I'll go with Would That Make You Love Me.

I dig that song, too, but odds are it'll be the Lil' Wayne track.

I always skip over the two songs with Lil Wayne lol I think Robin fares better on his own, without the guest stars.I don't really like the track with Pharell, either.

I love the CD, but that has always been my pick. It's the best song on the album IMO and it reminds me so much of Marvin. music

Considering I really dislike Lil' Wayne, I have to admit he doesn't bother me as much as he should. Obviously, the original "Oh Shooter" is better, though.

More important than picking the next single to me is making sure he releases the tracks he pulled as b-sides.

The song Cocaine is great. I'm still wondering why he put Shooter on TEORT if it's already on his first album

Because it (sadly) only became well known when Lil' Wayne inserted himself into it.

Yes, that guitar solo at the end of "Can U Believe" is hot! music

I love "Wanna Love You Girl," if only for its Princely sound and lyricism.

I don't dig the Lil' Wayne tracks either, but rap a/k/a hit-pop (as opposed to hip-hop) sells.

Jesus, is it me but does this guy remind you of Marvin Gaye?

I bought his new CD today after the Org hipped me to who he is. I gave it to my girlfriend who is SO into Justin Timberlake.

She heard it and...was very grateful.

Robin Thicke has the goods. I think we're seeing the beginning of a long career.

They're in different universes.

I like Robin Thicke, there's no WAY you can compare him to Marvin Gaye. The only reason he might remind one of Marvin is because he mimics his harmonies and cadences.

Thicke in no way reminds me of the man who recorded "Ain't That Peculiar," "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing," "You're All I Need (To Get By)," What's Going On, Let's Get It On, Here, My Dear, and "Sexual Healing." He'll be Thicke, which is fine with me. But let's have some perspective.

Either you're misunderstanding Alasseon or I am. I wouldn't dream of comparing Thicke to Marvin Gaye, who is easily my all-time favorite singer. But, like you said, there are moments where Robin does something that sounds reminiscent of Marvin. Whether it's actually mimicking or an influence made manifest subconsciously, it's there. If someone told me "Would That Make U Love Me" were actually a Marvin Gaye outtake, I wouldn't be surprised.
