There has been far more interesting music in commercials than what's been played on video channels and radio for years. I am mostly talking about original music composed for the ads themselves though.

Skittles using "Go!" by Tones On Tail.

I hate that all these companies are using my favorite music - my favorite ART -to sell their products.

I think the artists are using the advert more for their own vehicle getting tghe music out to the massess, I hear a lot of The muse on the tv wether its for an advert or in a trailer for a program

Here is something I noticed when flipping on the Sirius dance hits station....almost all of those songs are in commericals! I can't name a lot of them though "Galvanize" with the Chemical Brothers and Q-Tip comes to mind. When I drove him, I sampled a lot of stations (I usually only listen to about four stations....mostly Howard Stern). Anyway, I kept trying the modern dance station and it seemed like most of the songs were thigns I heard in commericals before! Also, not my cup of tea. Whatever happened to dance pop with stars like Madonna, Janet and Prince...waaah! I mean, Madonna still makes an impression on the dance charts (a huge one) but still..zero personality!

the day i found out that psychic tv had been used in an advert, i thought i'd entered bizarro world.

the nick drake/pink moon ad campaign was another, and it gave his posthumous profile a nice little bump.

A car commercial using The Go! Team.

Morningwood's "Nth Degree" in a car commercial.

Also, I heard a really cool synthy 80s song in a Fidelty Investments commercial with the lyrics "there's something about you baby, it's allright," ... "keep the fire burning bright."

Fidelty Investments always seems to have the coolest music in their advertisements.

Jamiroquai's Feels Just Like It Should has been featured in one of those Cingular commercials a lot lately...

I can't remember which company it was, but a bank or credit card company is using Spinal Tap's "Gimme Some Money!" I just about DIED when I heard it! It's a fake song by a fake band! I love it.
