Looking Back At Yesterday is one I know nothing of, and I don't think I even see it around when I'm diggin'/shoppin for old records.

It's hard to find:

1. When I Come Of Age

2. Teenage Symphony (The Jackson 5)

3. I Have A Symphony (The Jackson 5)

4. Give Me Half Of Chance

5. Love's Gone Bad

6. Lonely Teardrops

7. You've Good For Me

8. That's What Love Is Made Of

9. If''n' I Was God

10. I Like The Way You Are

11. I Was Made To Love Her

Technically his only studio albums are...

Got To Be There
Ben
Music and Me
Forever Michael
Off The Wall
Thriller
Bad
Dangerous
Invincible

But then you've also got Farewell My Summer Love (unreleased from '73, officially released in '84), HIStory (half GH's, half studio album), Blood on the Dance Floor (remix album with 5 originals), and The Ultimate Collection (Greatest hits with rarities and 4 originals). Which some people count as albums, but aren't really studio albums.

Then there is One Day In Your Life, Anthology, Greatest Hits HIStory Vol 1, Number Ones, Essential MJ and all the other compilation albums.

why be so picky when there's one full disc of new HIStory?

I can't believe you all forgot One Day In Your Life, that album is sooo underrated. As soon as I heard the title track, I couldn't believe that was michael! He had even more strength, depth and soul in his voice than whitney houston or someone like that(my initial reaction)

falloff I'm laughing and I actually like "One Day in Your Life"! Are you British? Amazingly, that song was his biggest UK hit until it was knocked off by... "Earth Song"! lol Crazy Brits...

I love the song, but One Day In Your Life isn't an album. It's a greatest hits. The album that One Day In Your Life comes from is Forever, Michael.

While we are at it? What about favourite J5 and Jacksons albums. For me it's...

Jackson 5 - Third Album or Moving Violation
The Jacksons - Destiny

He only had one Motown album as a teenie bopper I think the most popular song was Ben. Everything else was with his brothers the Jackson 5.

He released 4 solo albums on Motown:
Got To Be There(1972)
Ben(1972)
Music and Me(1973)
Forever, Michael(1975)

Motown would go on to release 2 more after the brothers went to Epic:
Farewell My Summer Love(1984)
Looking back at yesterday(1986)

There's also a unreleased album of MJ and Stevie Wonder

I didn't know that. Thanks.
Off The Wall is still his best.

falloff talking bout MJ "only had one Motown album", even JACKIE JACKSON HAD HIS OWN SOLO MOTOWN ALBUM

Are any of his Motown solo releases as good or as significant as his solo projects from 1979 and beyond?
I'm no Michael Jackson fan as I stated in my first post, I don't know much about him and his child recordings. Not interested.

Got To Be There- a pretty good album. The title track is one of his best and the performance from Hellzapoppin in 1972 is essential for a MJ fan.
Tracklisting: . Ain't No Sunshine

2. I Wanna Be Where You Are

3. Girl Don't Take Your Love From Me

4. In Our Small Way

5. Got To Be There

6. Rockin' Robin

7. Wings Of My Love

8. Maria (You Were The Only One)

9. Love Is Here And Now You're Gone

10. You've Got A Friend

Ben-most of these songs were recorded around the same time as the songs from the previous LP so it's very similar.
Tracklisting:1. Ben

2. Greatest Show On Earth

3. People Make The World Go Round

4. We've Got A Good Thing Going

5. Everybody's Somebody's Fool

6. My Girl

7. What Goes Around Comes Around

8. In Our Small Way

9. Shoo-Be-Do-Bee-Doo-Da-Day

10. You Can Cry On My Shoulder

Music and Me-probably the most difficult to find as it was his lowest selling album(sold around 280,000 copies) and peaked at #92 on the Pop Charts. Very underrated and out of print
Tracklisting:1. With A Child's Heart

2. Up Again

3. All The Things You Are

4. Happy

5. Too Young

6. Doggin' Around

7. Johnny Raven

8. Euphoria

9. Morning Glow

10. Music And Me

Forever, Michael- his last solo Motown release. Most of these songs can be found on nearly EVERY MJ Motown compilation. It's a underrated classic and some of the material is Michael at his most soulful
Tracklisting:1. We're Almost There

2. Take Me Back

3. One Day In Your Life

4. Cinderella Stay Awhile

5. We've Got Forever

6. Just A Little Bit Of You

7. You Are There

8. Dapper-Dan

9. Dear Michael

10. I'll Come Home To You

Yes they are significant. Forever Michael is one of his best and some of the songs could be on Off The Wall.
