ELO's OUT OF THE BLUE: 30th Anniversay Remaster w/ bonus crap!!! I had no idea this reissue was released this week. I can see I'll be going to the wrecka stow on my lunch break today! Anyone have this yet? I checked out a review on Amazon that said the sound is so much better it's almost like hearing a new album.

I think I may pick it up tomorrow. I used to play it death as a young teen but I've not heard it for years as it wasn't my album. One of my faves was Sweet Is The Night. I always thought that should've been a single. It'll be interesting to see what I think of it now.

It's hard to hold them poster and camera . [Edited 2/23/07 5:08am] that's an awkward looking photo if i ever saw one. but lucky you for getting a poster! i bought the CD at the wrecka stow yesterday. the punch-out UFO was a bit of a disappointment, though it's stil cute. you'll see what i mean.

I've been lovin' 'em subconsciously 4 years now, but recently more consciously. here's the tracklist and info via amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Out...F8&s=music my judgment so far is that the bonus tracks are a little skimpy and unnecessary, and that the punch-out UFO was a little cheesy (it's more for nostalgia and illustration than for actually putting together, but whatever...cute idea), but the album sounds GREAT and it's worth it to spend a couple more bucks for the limited edition "book" version with the extra liner notes and pictures. i've been listening to this all weekend!

I finally went out and bought this yesterday.I wanted the Limited Edition copy but all they had was the "30th Anniversary Edition" CD It's a remaster, but it doesn't include the book and the make-your-own-UFO thing. I also picked up the remasters of 'Discovery','Face The Music' and 'A New World Record'.I think these were released in 2001.I've been very slow in completing my ELO collection, but I'm glad I finally did it A question: are their early albums any good? I saw the remaster of 'El Dorado' and I was wondering if it's worth getting. What about 'On The Third Day' and 'No Answer'?

I noticed that a few people are complaining about the way the CD gets scratched when they try to take it out.Have you had any problems? Apparently,in the Limited Edition version, the CD is at the end of the book and it can get scratched as you try to pull it out. Oddly enough, when 'Out Of The Blue' was first released back in 1977,the band claimed that the distributor released alot of defective copies! LOL...is history repeating itself?
