Van Halen Reunion Tour Postponed Indefinitely these guys are ridiculous
Van Halen Reunion Tour Postponed Indefinitely February 20, 2007 David Lee Roth Was it too good to be true? Pollstar is reporting that the much-hyped Van Halen reunion tour with David Lee Roth has already fallen through and is now "officially postponed infinitely." Sources tell the tour magazine that a tour announcement may have not been far off, and just last week, Rolling Stone posted excerpts from an upcoming interview with Roth about the reunion, which is slated for its next issue. The magazine's Web site also unveiled the first-ever group shot of the current lineup of the band, including Eddie Van Halen, his brother Alex on drums and his son Wolfgang on bass. Sources also tell Denver's Rocky Mountain News that Van Halen's performance at next month's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony may also be in jeopardy too. Roth told Rolling Stone the band had been rehearsing together again and their chemistry is currently "combustible," though with today's news, it appears that combustion may have actually happened between Roth and the Van Halen family. Van Halen was expected to do a full, 40 city tour this summer. Check it out ...Shiny Toy Guns R gonna blowup VERY soon and bring melody back to music..you heard it here 1st! http://www.myspacecomment...theone.mp3

I generally cringe at Reunion tours. It's like witnessing a senior citizen cover band performing hits that you grew up loving.

The Rock n Roll hall of fame thing also is another "we knew that would happen", i mean sure Dave started Van Halen, but the only reason that band survived was Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony and they werent going to attend it. Its crazy that differences cant be put aside for a few hours, shit even Paul and Yoko were in the same room recently an no one got hurt "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

I hope David still tours this summer..solo. That is a tour I'd love to see any day. I saw him back with on the combo tour with Hagar, back in 2002, and it was AMAZING. Roth rocks. ....with or without VH.

The more I hear Ed speak, the more I see pictures of him, the more I don't like him.... I know Roth has an ego to, but Ed seems like the bigger prick, of the 2 pricks. This cover didn't do much for me and I bet the article wouldn't either. I liked this picture a bit more. A shame it probably won't happen now. Oh well. The picture is nice. [Edited 2/21/07 7:51am] Man, Eddie's been talking s**t about Michael Anthony since the '80s. He did an interview with one of the guitar mags and made it seem like MA didn't contribute anything to the group. He also talked s**t about Joe Perry - seems he was reacting to some hate/envy coming from Perry. Eddie also dissed Jimmy Page's live performing skills - below are the actual quotes (taken from a Guitar World January 1981 interview): About Joe Perry - "I don't like him because I don't think he likes me. I met him once. I walked up to shake his hand, and he looked at me and walked away. As a guitarist, I don't think he's that good. He lacks feel. About Ted Nugent - "Nugent is a very nice guy, but I don't really like his tone." About Jimmy Page - "Jimmy Page is an excellent producer. Led Zeppelin 1 and 11 are classics. As a player, he's very good in the studio, but I've never seen him play well live. He's sloppy. He plays like he's got a broken hand and he's two years old. If you put out a good album and play like a two-year old, what's the purpose? Eddie Van Halen has always been pretty blunt/outspoken. My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth
