I went and picked up Georges GH Videos. If you like GM or Wham, you should get this.

It opens up with the classic Club Tropicana and makes it's way through 8 Wham Songs (mostly from Make it Big and Final) including Freedom and Edge of Heaven.

It goes on with the solo stuff. Everything you could want in terms of GM solo is on there. Unlike the CD companion, nothing seems to be missing except for Praying for Time. It includes his duets with Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Mary J Blige. There is also quite a bit of Unplugged Material too. Seriously, there are videos on here that I have never seen. Pretty much everything after Too Funky is a masterpiece.

and the best video? FREEK! Hands down his dirtiest/best produced video. Super space age and freeeektastic costumes. I have no idea who did this video or where GM got the moolah to put this together, but it's simply incredible. Worth the price alone to see this on a large screen.

My only complaints are missing Wham SOngs (I mean come on it's just 3!). No video for This is not real Love and the second CD doesn't continue the chronological order the first DVD follows. No Extras and the packaging is just ok.

Believe it or not, back when they first started, Wham were hip with Britain's left-wing media types because they were writing social commentary set to pop music (something Paul Weller tried and occasionally succeeded to do with The Style Council). The plaudits dried up when Club Tropicana came out ... even though that was a somewhat ironic look at the then popular Club 18-30 scene of the time.

That's one of my all-time favorite WHAM! songs!

When I first heard Wham! I was surprised by the heavy social commentary in many of their songs..
P.S.: I think the Style Council succeeded more than occasionally!

It's a fun song, but not among their best IMO. Since "A Different Corner" is technically a George Michael song, I'd say the cream of the Wham! crop is "Everything She Wants," "Freedom," and "Careless Whisper."

Don't get me wrong, I like The Style Council. They were the last time Paul Weller was ever remotely interesting, but their political songs were really hit and miss. For every "Homebreakers", "Man of Great Promise", "Whole Point of No Return" there were three stinkers - Right To Go, Stand-Up Comic's Instructions, Everything To Lose.
