The Four Tops during the 1980s

For those people who like to defend today's music by using that sorry excuse that people never have liked older artists, here's one to shut your mouths.

The Four Tops continued on in the 1980s and, in 1981, had a huge hit with "When She Was My Girl". Also from that same album were "Let Me Set You Free" and "Tonight I'm Gonna Love You All Over". Anybody into these?

Plently more examples such as Tina Turner and Aerosmith in the 80s, Eric Clapton in the 90s, Santana in the 00s...

Anyhoot, The Four Tops were total CLASS. Their early 80s jams are solid but those 60s singles are legendary. Some factoid: They hold the record for the band with longest original line-up, over 40 years if I'm not mistaken.
Baby, that was much too fast... 1958-2016

And also Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, The Chi-Lites, and The Barkays. All of them were far from spring chickens during the 1980s and getting regular radio airplay.

The 'Tonight' album is brilliant. A great record from one of the calssic vocal groups. Indestructible was Ok too.
