COLUMBIA, S.C. -- An attorney for James Brown's partner says Tomi Rae Hynie and Brown's six adult children have reached an agreement as to where the singer will be buried.

Hynie's attorney said the resting place is being kept confidential at the request of Brown's children, but the attorney said the burial may take place in the "next few days."

Brown died Christmas Day at age 73. The manager of a funeral home in Augusta, Georgia, said Brown's body is being kept in a confidential location and that he checks on the singer's body "constantly."


Meanwhile, a South Carolina judge has ruled that the trustees accused of mismanaging Brown's estate will keep handling his property and trust, but a special administrator will oversee their work.

it's about time!! I can't believe it's taken this long

true, this is rediculous to take two whole months to agree on a burial place, but in all honesty this is James' fault. He could have had all of this in writing before his death. I thought that was the whole point of having a will in the first place.

2 years later...

There's nothing funny about this at all, but I thought the thread was a joke about how long it all took. I can't believe this saga continues.
