Seeing all of this Tori discussion is making me insane. My computer is super fucked up and slow today and I'd like to reply to every one of these posts. A lot has happened on here and the other Tori threads while I was away for a few hours, but because I can't speed things up, I might have to let it go for today. I hate feeling left out! But I'll try to get things resolved by tomorrow.

Nathan, you have no idea how many ladder rungs this chick just climbed in my heart and soul from that picture. If anything deserves captioning that's it I can't wait to hear her vision 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

It's a striking image. I wonder if it'll even be used in the packaging. I wish it would be the cover, with piglet suckling Tori breast equivalents throughout That is one thing about Pele I have never forgotten, all the imagery. It struck me very hard all those years ago. I need to get another copy of this album, like today! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I think I've got it somewhere, but I also think I cut it up like I did all my old magazines to save space. Oh no, all my old magazines are still intact. I have a whole stack with Geri Halliwell on the cover. You would think I'm still 16 years old or something.

You don't still have it in storage somewhere? You poor thing. Once you get familiar with it again, you'll flip over "Father Lucifer" alone.

I'll see if I can dig up some choice quotes. Well I have declared to the Pharisees in P&R that I would burn a bible in front of their face to prove how much I believe their bullshit. This will only make me love her more! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

BTW, I got the official email announcing the new album also. I'm so looking forward to the change in attitude. Who was it that called 'Beekeeper' a grandma album? I totally agree with that!

Tori said: “So um when I came home I guess it was at Thanksgiving because I remember a bird and forks going down at the table, when my father said to me, ‘Tori Ellen, I can’t believe you wrote this song about me.’ And I said, ‘I write everything about you, what are you surprised about?’ And he said, ‘No, but I’m really hurt about this one.’ And I said, ‘Well which one is it?” And he said, “well, you called me Satan.” And I said, “No! I was taking drugs with a South American shaman and I really did visit the Devil and I had a journey.” And he went, ‘Oh, Praise Jesus!’” [VH1 Storytellers – 1998] [Edited 2/20/07 16:35pm]

Actually there is a Tori whore at one of the bars I frequent and I always pick his brain and I asked him about understanding her lyrics and he said to look at it like the pieces of a puzzle or parts of a painting all intertwined and connected and the more of the puzzle you put together the more sense it makes. I love that concept. Well now this has sealed the deal for me. The fact that she can go from the Beekeeper, which sorry folks just isn't that inspired, TO THIS tells me she aint dead and just experienced some kind of resurrection. Today is the first day without my ex in the same city or even the same state as me. I'm resurrecting and experiencing another personal revolution and I can only think of a handful of artists that I'd want as the soundtrack to my new life and she's become one of them You're really struggling with her lyrics, huh?

she's already said she's taking on sexuality and spirituality, religion and the religious, as well as the current perspective in pop culture where if you are to be a sexy woman it means having to have your tits hanging out and if you're to be a respected woman you need to be puritanical. the cd is gonna be out of hand. I remember she sent me into a tizzy by just mentioning that she's bringin' harpsi back.
