U think Rolling Stone is bad, BLENDER is worse!

Sure there is more music in BLENDER but its reviews are jokes! In the latest issue of the magazine ASHLEY TISDALE gets a higher rating than John Mellencamps "Freedom Road", are fucking kidding me,first of all this is the first bad review i have seen for Mellencamp for this record, but Ashley Tisdale are u kidding me, i dont care how catchy her songs might be or if shes cute, there is no way she should have a higher rating, sorry but this reviewer is moronic. He also states that Mellencamp "Reached his creative peak in 1989" WTF??? first, Mellencamps albums in the 90's were more consistent than any artist out, second, his 1994 record Human Wheels was easily his best and one of the best songs of all time, and three this reviewer points out "how can mellencamp be a Flag waiver on "Our Country" and then create dark images of america on songs like "Rural Route" all on one album, hmmm its called being an artist! The reason im pointing this out is that BLENDER is possibly the worst on reviewing records, i think the staff is basically all between 18-22 and has no clue.

"We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

how about the guy in the Chicago Sun Times he gave Freedoms Road 1 star! i mean come on you give people like Fergie or Britney 1 star not a real musician like Mellencamp! but music critics are useless anyway everybody has such different tastes when it comes to music that how can anybody go by what a critic says

TBF, I miss the 80's when John Mellencamp was his alter ego John Cougar! biggrin

With that said, I fear that John is becoming the latest victim of agism (age-ism). Some of these young freah out of college music critics have no respect for their musical elders to begin with.
