HIStory beats The Gold Experience by about 5-8 songs for me. However, the few tracks on The Gold Experience I dig - I LOVE! As for Vibrator, I've never heard it. boxed

You have to check out Vibrator. It's incredible!

Here's a sample of it...live:

VIBRATOR

READ MY LIPS (I DIG YOUR SCENE)

http://www.youtube.com/wa...1JyrNDD3Ag

HOLDING ON TO YOU

http://www.youtube.com/wa...nGSJ4eN4Vk

TTD produces, writes and does almost of his stuff by himself

I've heard Vibrator once or twice but it never really stuck with me. Symphony or Damn is my TTD album.

Maybe I need to give it another go but with what I know right now The Gold Experience wins this round. I absolutely love this album. There's just something about it and the mood it creates unlike HIStory which has some good songs but doesn't work for me as a complete effort.

I bought a three CD-set of Introducing The Hardline, Symphony Or Damn and Vibrator. For some reason I never bothered listening to the latter.

I think the bad title, awful cover and cringeful song titles put me off.

Which album is "O'Divina" on, I think that is my favourite TTD.

That really doesn't make it sound more rational.

Ya

in order:

TGE
Vibrator
History

not cuz i'm a huge Prince fan but becuz yes it is far better than both. actually i mioght even argue there are finer points on History than Vibrator but the non-finer points on History make it go third.

nod 'Vibrator' is def. better than 'Gold' imo ('Gold' is good, but with over-production covering a few weaker songs)

'History' is way down below the others imo, but still has a few good songs on there.

I'd say tho that 'Vibrator' is the only TTD album to be in the same range as a good P album (not heard 'Wildcard' yet, so can't speak for that).

The tracks 'Vibrator' and 'Holding On To You' are imo as good in their way as many classic P tracks. In fact 'Holding On' is one of the greatest soul songs I've heard in the last twenty years.
