'Is This Love' by Whitesnake Classic '80s rock ballad. I have heard many people do not like the song for whatever reason(too mainstream perhaps? WHO CARES!). I think David Coverdale's voice is really great on this one. I defiantely prefer his sound here than on most of the group's hard rockers. Its seductive and passionate in the most soothing of ways. And the guitar solo, by I believe John Sykes, is just awesome and is certainly head and shoulders above many of the excessive guitar solos that you were hearing around the time in the whole glam-metal music genre.
Is there anyone else who likes the song or are you one of the ones that really does not care for this song at all?

This is probably the only tune I like by this band.
Maybe the best 80s Hair-Band ballad of the lot. The guitar parts make sense for this type of tune and are not just an excuse to jack-off. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 [Edited 2/19/07 11:43am] "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I like it, but I prefer "Here I Go Again." "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I'm not much of a hair band listener, but "Is This Love" is just a great power ballad. ... [Edited 2/19/07 12:13pm]

Is there anyone else who likes the song or are you one of the ones that really does not care for this song at all? Fucking awful! Whitesnake were complete and utter shit, with David "Robert Plant - The Tribute Act" Coverdale was a titanic arsehole. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently
