Family of stricken Much VJ at her side in Las Vegas after emergency surgery

at 21:14 on February 17, 2007, EST.

LAS VEGAS (CP) - MuchMusic's website says video jockey Sarah Taylor is in stable condition, in an induced coma, after emergency surgery to ease pressure on her brain.

Members of Taylor's family are with her in Las Vegas, the website said.

Taylor, who's 25, was covering the lead-up to the NBA All-Star game for the music station when she fell ill Wednesday evening.

She was rushed to hospital and underwent surgery early Thursday, the website said Saturday.

In a statement, David Kines, CHUM Television vice-president of music and youth services, said it's not yet known what caused the pressure.
