1980s R&B Jam of the Day: Shalamar "A Night to Remember" The 1982 lead single from the album "Friends" featured Howard Hewett, Jody Watley and Jeffrey Daniel at their sparkling best. The bouncy groove and spanking guitar licks laid down the work for Howard's and Jody's infectuous singing. A song that is a great one to play at weddings and family reunions and my favorite by the trio. [Edited 2/18/07 11:09am] THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

It's my favorite, too. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

First time i have ever seen Jody,Jeffery, and Howard performing live.
I've seen Shalamar as (Howard, Micki,& Delisa) live. But never with Jody and Jeffery. But i've seen Howard as a solo act and Jody as a solo act. "JD" Master of the Moonwalk and Poplock http://www.jeffreydaniel....Daniel.wmv

The band was tight, too. I bet they put on a good show. A happy face, A Thumpin Bass, For A Lovin' Race. PEACE.
