It was close, but not quite the same. Unlike Rob and Fab, Cliviles and Cole actually worked on the tracks. You'd have a better point if those songs had been credited solely to Zelma Davis. [Edited 2/19/07 17:27pm] "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

[Edited 2/19/07 17:27pm] Farian was Milli Vanilli's producer, working on the beats, with the REAL singers, and he took credit for producing the "Fake" Milli Vanilli as well. Isn't that kind of the same? [Edited 2/19/07 19:27pm]

Isn't that kind of the same? AFAIC, no. It wasn't the "FF Music Factory." C+C were always the group, but they featured people like Freedom Williams and Zelma. It just turned out the only thing they featured Zelma doing was dancing the videos. OTOH, Rob & Fab were basically billed as Milli Vanilli. They were the group, not guest artists. Of course, both were shady, but I don't think they're all that comparable. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I love it! ) Do you have it/like it by chance?

For C+C Music Factory, Martha Warsh only perform the vocals on Gonna Make You Sweat (which Zelma Davis would also lip-synch within the video). The vocals for the other follow-up singles Here We Go (Lets Rock & Roll) & Things That Make You Go Hmmmm were perform by Zelma. BTW, Martha never receive credit for perform all of the vocals for Black Box or credit for doing backing vocals for the girl band, Seduction. And yes, there were a lot of out-of-court settlements after Martha filed the lawsuits.

[Edited 2/19/07 17:27pm] Again, on Here We Go (Lets Rock & Roll) & Things That Make You Go Hmmmm, Zelma did perform the singing vocals with her own voice. Her vocals are powerful in their own right. But it no match of Martha Walsh! C+C's final hit Do You Wanna Get Funky proves that point when Zelma & Martha were doing backing vocals together. And it's a shame that I can't find the video on YouTube anymore!!!
