So I saw this big assed 16 C.D. Boxset of Ella Fitzgergerald On sale for 60 bucks used at the wherehouse. I'm contemplating going back to by it, but don't know much about Ella. Is it a worthy purchase. It has her singing the songs of Cole Porter, Gershwin, Performing with Louis Armstrong and also some rare recordings, out takes and live performances. I saw this same boxed set on Ebay for like 90 dollars. Tell me if its worth the purchase. If it is I will go back in a few hours to buy it! [Edited 2/25/07 13:44pm] Ohmigod I bought mine about 2 months ago for 3 times that. It is sooo worth it. Just the most beautiful music ever, which has stood the test of time for 50years and you will be thrilled by it for the rest of your life. A total bargain!! | |
